this addition was meant to blend seamlessly with the former style of the house yet transform the interior to offer ample entertainment space, a functional kitchen suitable for gatherings, and a new master suite.
rear addition
a new large slider connects the new kitchen and backyard to create an indoor/outdoor living experience. the outdoor space features several levels for different functions and delineation of space.

we extended the deck to create a more engaging outdoor experience and designed an access point from the bar to the side deck.
first floor plan
the new floor plan joins the kitchen and dining room for better flow and ambiance. the new kitchen features a long, linear island with seating for seven. the home is now light-filled thanks to a massive sliding unit that connects the outdoors with the indoors.
second floor plan
we created a new master suite on the second floor with dormers for a bright interior. the relocated guest bath serves the two remaining bedrooms on that level.
